Huhtamaki makes Royal Wedding cup dress

A wedding dress made entirely from Huhtamaki paper cups has been created with the Royal bride Kate Middleton in mind.

Designed by a recent graduate from the London College of Fashion, Julia Roebuck, the firm said that “this one-off creation is the latest in bridal cup-ture!”

The dress made of Huhtamaki BioWare cold cups has been created in support of the Footprint Awards 2011 – an awards programme exclusively dedicated to rewarding contributions to sustainability and environmental excellence in the foodservice industry.

According to Huhtamaki, Roebuck’s creation is a fun take on the issue of recycling and will be displayed at the Footprint Awards which takes place in May.
